About Studio Dimora | High-end interior designer in CHeshire & Manchester
From Italy
to Cheshire.
a design perspective shaped by both.
"I believe a home should feel like the truest version of you — not the most on-trend version. My work is guided by the Italian idea of living well: warmth, beauty, and a deep sense of belonging in the spaces we inhabit every day."
— FEDERICA WHITEFOOT
The Founder’s Story
From a love of beautiful spaces to a studio built on them.
Federica's path into interior design was shaped by a lifelong fascination with how spaces make us feel — how the right light, material, or arrangement can completely change the way we experience a room, and the life lived inside it.
With Italian roots and an international perspective, Federica brings a distinct cultural lens to residential design: one that prioritises comfort, atmosphere and the art of everyday living alongside refined aesthetics.
Based in Cheshire, she works with homeowners across the UK who are ready to create homes that feel truly aligned with who they are — not just how they want their homes to appear.
Studio Dimora was born from a desire to create a design studio that felt as considered as the homes it creates: thoughtful, personal, and rooted in genuine care for the people within it.
Formerly known as Whitefoot Interiors, Studio Dimora is the evolution of Federica's design practice.
Dimora
A name with meaning.
Dimora is the Italian word for home — and it captures everything this studio stands for.
It speaks to a place of belonging. A space that holds daily life, memory and atmosphere.
In Italian culture, the home is central. It is where life unfolds, where people gather, and where the quality of everyday living is most deeply felt.
That understanding sits at the core of Studio Dimora. The aim is not simply to design something beautiful, but to create a home that feels grounded, considered and lived in.
Design Philosophy
Beautiful homes that truly support the way you live.
Studio Dimora’s work is grounded in understanding how a home is lived in. Every decision, from layout to material, is shaped by that.
-
Italian Warmth
Inspired by the Italian way of living — where homes are layered, welcoming and rich with character — we design spaces that feel genuinely inhabited, not styled.
-
Craftmanship & Material
We carefully select natural, consciously sourced materials to create interiors that are refined and timeless — and responsible in how they're made.
-
Enduring Over Trend
We design for longevity. Spaces that feel timeless years from now, not just relevant to the season they were created in.
-
Deeply Personal
Every project begins with understanding how you live. Your routines, your culture, your aspirations — translated into a home that is unmistakably yours.
-
Calm & Clarity
The design process can feel overwhelming. We guide you through every decision with clarity, care, and a calm confidence that keeps the experience enjoyable from start to finish.
-
Function & Beauty
A beautiful home that doesn't work for your life isn't truly beautiful. We balance aesthetic refinement with a deep respect for how spaces need to function day to day.
The Vision
A studio built to grow with its clients — and with Italy in its heart.
The ambition for Studio Dimora has always extended beyond Cheshire. In the years ahead, the vision is to grow into a full studio with a small, dedicated team — taking on larger, more complex residential projects and building a reputation that reaches well beyond the UK.
Central to that vision is Italy itself. Studio Dimora is developing a series of design and lifestyle experiences — including curated sourcing trips and interior design retreats in Italy — that celebrate craftsmanship, materials, and the Italian culture of home in its most natural setting.
The long-term goal is simple: to be known not just for the quality of the spaces created, but for the thought, care and distinctly Italian warmth that shapes every one of them.
"The Italian home is not a backdrop. It is the stage on which life's most meaningful moments are lived."
